I’m ever so proud of my daughter who was chosen to be an ambassador for Heart Kids Hawkes Bay. She’s great with those kids. I took the opportunity to take some photos today at Peka Peka Wetlands.

RIP little blackbird
We found this little blackbird on our lawn yesterday. It either fell out of the nest or tried to fly without succes or got attacked. Who knows. We tried to feed it, but eventually it died, probably from internal injuries. At least it was comfortable in Alexis’ cage without any of the gazillion cats that seem to be lurking in our garden. Eventually it died, but got a proper burial from our daughter the animal lover.
